I can't belive that some English people are wanting a Spanish team to beat an English team. Disgraceful. Club loyalties should be put to one side and support an English team.

By English I mean they play in Manchester which the last time I looked was in England. I often read your comments but I can't quite remember what your hobbies are or who support at football. I think you ride a motorbike which I am sure is British made.

I hate Man Ure as much as I hate Sent Hellins, the only other thing on Earth I vehemently hate as much is a certain Margaret Thatcher. So I do not give a toss whether they are from England or Timbuktu, I just hope Barca win. Besides the opposition I have also been to the Nou Camp three times and have been following the Catalan club for at least thirty years, so I want my team to win. COME ON BARCA

Rio,
I tend to reserve my hatred for murderers, rapists, paedophiles etc. but each to his own. As someone who watched Wigan home and away for many years I have to admit that when I watch Saint Helens over the years I think they have always played a very good expansive game of Rugby League. Obviously I always wanted Wigan to win but I have seen some great players on the St. Helens teams.

Treble still on then. The community shield left to play for yet, still a chance of losing THREE times at Wembley in one year!

The most one sided final for years. Outclassed, not one of utd's players would get anywhere near Barca's bench.

Catalan 3 Matalan 1.

Shots on Target: Barca-13, Man Utd: 1.
Shots off Target: Barca-3, Man Utd: 2.
Corners: Barca-6, Man Utd: 0.
Possession: Barca-68%, Man Utd-32%.
Fouls: Barca-5, Man Utd-16.

Let's just say Kellysdad, that when you are young your next door neighbour is a right minger but the girl up the road is a stunner. You go out with the next door neighbour once or twice but she really is a bit non league in every way. Then you get the chance to go out with the stunner and for the rest of your adult life you are devoted to this woman. All of a sudden the next door neighbour comes back into your life and has had all sorts of plastic surgery and superficially she is a bit more attractive but still not as attractive as the woman who you have loved and stood by over the years through thin and thin.

Do you:

A) Run off with the still not as attractive next door neighbour leaving your beautiful wife?

B) Do what a lot of today's utd/latics fans do and pretend that she was your first love all along because you can't be bothered making the effort to woo the attractive one?

C)Remain devoted to your first real love?

kellys dad - why all the vitriol - if you don't know what that means then just google it but at the same time you may wish to consider the amount of money and investment that comes through the Great City of Manchester because of Manchester United Football Club - the players and their wives spend a fortune here

Obsession. Remove the years during the World Wars from your equasion to get a better figure. The League was suspended for four seasons during World War I and resumed in 1919.

The League was suspended once more in 1939 with the outbreak of World War II, this time for seven seasons.

(Pssst, it's less than 35 if that's of some help with your Mathematics).

Now, can you name the years stockport had averaged higher gates, include the year we were relegated if this helps.

gwim, is me stating that they went 37 years without winning a trophy FACT ? yes or no ? you can blame whatever you like but it will not chage the history books

and as a side note what makes you think if there had been no wars you would have won a trophy anyway ? you went 25 years before you won a championship and 31 years before you won the european cup again.

Can you prove otherwise?

The fact that Men were dying to save us is a good excuse to attempt to belittle a football team, well done there.

We won nothing for thousands of years prior to 1878, why don't you bleat that into your whiny statements?
As for your accusations of immaturity, baconface is very mature.
Am sure you are little to look at.

Now, answer Veg Growers question, 'Why all the vitriol Here a little assistance 'Cruel and bitter criticism'. Though I would put it down to pure envy.

Because all you are doing is trying to wind these people up, you are failing/failed with fireplace, he doesn't read what anyone types, just plods along lost in his own world.

*Do not attack or provoke others.
That is the first rule of WW, Brian should enforce them a little better. The site would be a better place to be, a little more boring in many instances, but more appealing to the masses.

You don't like Man Utd, I have no problem with that, but then don't post so much about them...I don't live Liver or Kidney, so I refuse to comment on posts about them.

Your posts have a very similar ring to them, I like your other posts, the antagonistic ones, not so much.

By the way, I don't care about City, I think it's great that Manchester is the Capital of football, Both clubs were very close at one stage, the vitriol spoils the banter.
