Congratulations to Wigan Athletic on staying in the Premiership.

The local derby games with the Wanderers have been saved for another season.

Now all we want is for the Warriors to do the double!

"Sir Bob"

Only British citizens are allowed to receive Knighthoods ....

Oh,,, and well done Wigan for not getting relegated,,,,, a bloody miracle mind you, considering how 'crap' they have played all season and I must admit I am not looking forward to them bumping along on the bottom of the Premiership next season

What we need is a new manager, instead of that dago twit what we have got and a new football team would come in handy too

New brush sweeps clan and all that

proud to be a WIGANER tonight!!!

Rugby
it was simply a win - it proved for me:
i. Without Sam Tomkins we are clueless - how would we manage without him?
ii. Lima is the worst prop since Breheney - (but dont tell Big Ste I said that!)

Football
i) well deserved
ii) can we sign some 'Wiganers'

WELL DONE BOTH TEAMS

Yoo can twist me words any way you want too, but the way they have played this season, they would have been better off playing in the Championship, they have managed to 'lose' just about every match they played and I for one got sick of watching them lose week after week, cos I am want to back a 'winner' not a bloody 'loser'

Ok so they have not gone down, but that is just down to lady luck, not footballing skill

Well I thought Wigan (rugby) I thought they were going to throw away their lead towards the end of the match, because they seemed to be getting tired, but overall I think the best team won, so well done Wigan Warriors

Not the best display by the rugby today but enough to get them through to the next round. The Latics result has ensured that the Premierships least supported team is going to get another crack at next season, surely Uncle Dave must now realise that he has to put his hand in his pocket and give Bob the money to assemble a team that can challenge for mid-table mediocrity instead of banking on last day losers to keep them in the "Millionaires Club"

I agree Farrie!

Come to WW and see the "men" folk snipe like little girlies about the football and rugby teams..

Give over fellas, both teams have done good in their own ways - there is always room for improvement - no need to resort to calling people after toilet waste, or you'll all get sent home to bed with no suppers!

Also I was as proud as any Wiganer when the final whistle went yesterday and to still have two teams in Wigan in the top divisions of their sport

well said nicola,if any performance was disappointing it s the warriors only winning by 4 points against 12 men.latics have been unlucky in many of there games to come away with nothing, when they have played well.apls change youre bloody name ,fans are just that thro thick and thin.where a small town club with smallish gates ,we cant afford to pay to whack wages,so we struggle attracting top players,so results are a struggle. if you,re not happy support someone else.
