Field

Isn't that lad amazing how he dodges the tackles and runs like he's on fire. Love watching him. Well done Harry Smith for saving the day with his drop goal. A close call but 2 points is 2 points!

With some of the results, it is a good job he has been playing as without his tries, we would be nowhere near the top of Super League.

Exactly. I thought they were outmuscled in the forwards. As my school report used to say “ definitely room for improvement” I can’t fathom out this Bibby at centre and Hardaker on the wing.

Farrell and Bateman and ISA are small as forwards in todays game and the rest are inexperienced so that’s why we get stung in the forwards

I agree, roylew, re Farrell, Bateman and Isa, although they do strive way above their weight. Some of the younger forwards look promising. My worry is in the centre positions. Admittedly, I live in the past where Wigan is concerned, but we don't seem to possess any centres of the Eric Ashton/Alan Davies mould. Now it seems to be pot luck who plays there. A good centre looks after his winger, knows how to draw a man and has a powerful presence on the pitch. I know it's a different game today, but surely there's someone out there who could fit the bill?

Thought Gildardt was going that way Gideonfel, but after he got injured he took sometime to recover…don’t know how he is doing in Oz,he could get battered there

the younger prop who has a problem with his temper is partington . he gives to much ground away & to many fouls . he needs to calm down a bit & if he does could be a decent prop .

Smithies has been a different person so far this season.

Hopefully it will last as he is a good player!

Whups

More than you do, seeing that I have been a Wigan supporter for over fifty years and travelled all over the place to support them, including France and Australia.

A lot further than just going to Old Trafford!

Good news is Jai Field has just signed a new 2 year contract with the option of another year after that.

And even better news is the comment by him that he loves it here and playing for Wigan.

Best signing since the days of Coach Michael Maguire!

Simply because we are very light in the forward's i think we will get a battering on Sunday against a good Wakefield side , don't get me wrong i would dearly love to get to semi's and then the final at Tottenham's ground ,sadly though i just can't see it ............GB
