Is it finished as a spectator sport given the T 20 and other limited over games .?
Lets see if this thread is ruined .

it could be grim & it will see the demise of test cricket if it does . "you know who" will no-doubt put a comment on once he sees our names .

I hope not. I love going to Old Trafford watching the 4 day county games. 4 day County cricket on its own, however, does not make money. The revenue from Test Match cricket, however, keeps most counties going.

Test match,4 day and 60 over one day cricket is proper cricket.
The rest,The Hundred and T20 is just for sloggers and swipers and negative bowlers, and somewhere to take the wife and kids for a couple of hours!

Ranger,it is the quality that counts, not the quantity. Good on you!
At least you attempted to comment on the thread.

The IPL money has been the potential ruin of normal cricket, and I can't blame players from making a good living off what is offered.
Some of these franchises don't have a love of the game in their make up imo,and various cricket boards have been seduced by money offered by the likes of Allan Stanford.
