Friendly internationals

Started by: grimshaw (3998)

Given the present situation does anyone agree with me that the current friendly internationals are unnecessary given that this evening England play Ireland at Wembley at a time when C L games should surely take priority .?
Just wondering like .

I never watch them. Caps are thrown about like confetti. Score three weeks in succession and Southgate picks you. When we think of some very good players that never got selected and some dross picked at present.

International football isn't what it used to be.
And, IMO, has become irrelevant.

Spot on Grimmy. PL and EFL are priority.

I watched a little of the game v Ireland.
For the life of me i fail to see what Southgate could have learned from that .
My granny could have stood some of the powder puff tackling.
Thanks to all who support my argument .

Completely agree with you mr.Grimshaw they are not needed during this time just like todays news about Cavani coming back from Paraguay ,were 8 of his team mates have tested positive for co-vd .so that is giving OLE a big question if he will be fit for Saturdays game with West Brom im just an ordinary bloke but as you say these games are TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE , that goes for all friendlies.
