A great player in his day, I'm not a fan of union but give credit where it's due to such committed players like him. RIP.

Just been listening to an interview with him on Radio Wales, apparently some members of the R. U. hierarchy wanted him banned because Widnes had approached him and wanted him to turn pro. They accused him of considering playing Rugby League.
