Relative in London

My mom doing ancestry saw that a ancestor who was from London was a sheriff and mayor at one time. Oh crap cant think of the chaps name. It was a distant grandfather of ours. i believe it was

Good observation Peter.
I believe you are referring to a reasonably significant person (not known to all) who may have been called Richard, or some other derivative!
'Madame' appears to have some very interesting links to ancestors.
We will certainly view your posts with anticipation - this is intriguing.
I am sure at some point, that the right honourable Mr Tonker FAW (Fellow of Adopted Wiganers) will offer much greater enlightenment.

Madun If your relation was called Whittington and his first name was Richard It might be easily traced at the site Livingincuckooland@.comuk
