Yes,,, Radio Wigan, it was part of a BBC local radio experiment and as stated it was transmitted from studios in New Market Street in Wigan and the breakfast show was presented by Dick Hatch.

The station was transmitted from an antennae on St Catherine's church in Scholes and initially it was broadcast on both Medium Wave and VHF FM, but towards the end of the 12 week experiment, it was broadcast on VHF FM only.

One of the Houghton Weavers presented a show on it ...

Wire FM is also transmitted from the Orrell Studios as well as Tower FM and Wish FM and some of the shows are networked on all three stations, although you can't tell that, because the presenters never mention any local areas and you have the same newscasters on all three stations, so they obviously record all the news broadcasts ...

Nothing is 'transmitted' from the Orrell studio. Everything is transmitted from the top of Billinge Hill.

A radio station is 'broadcast' by the 'broadcasters' from their studio. It is 'transmitted' from a radio antenna.

In the case of WISH FM, the station is 'broadcast' by Wireless Group, on behalf of News Corporation and is 'transmitted' by Now Digital, of the Arqiva group (the owners of the transmitting station in Billinge, St.Helens, Merseyside).
