SUNDAY WAS A SAD DAY IN THE LIFE OF ALL THE WIGAN BANDS,GRAHAM HILL BASS PLAYER WITH RAINBOW COTTAGE PAST AWAY,HE WAS A FANTASTIC BAND MEMBER AND A GREAT FRIEND OF MINE,HE WILL BE MISSED SO MUCH,.

Shocked and saddened by this news. I was at school with Graham and it's not long since I posted an old school photo of us on this site. I have very happy memories of our school days together and forming his first band.

I am Graham's brother and will be going out to Lanzarote shortly to join our sister Glynis where we will attend his funeral on Friday. I would like to thank all the people on here for their kind thoughts and to let you know that we hope to arrange a memorial service for him back here in a few weeks time. Once I have the details I will post them here, all will be welcome

I am Grahams cousin Tony, ex Schooner.Could not believe the news. Really glad I saw him when he came over with Caroline's ashes. Tried to see him every year in Lanzarote. No reason to ever return to Lanzarote ever again. See you in the bass player's afterlife cous.

Very saddened to hear the news about Graham - we used to follow Rainbow Cottage all over the place. I visited him last January at his Bourbon Street Bar in Lanzarote and it was lovely to see him again and now very sad that it won't happen again. does anybody know when the service over here is going to be held?

The arrangements have not been finalised yet but I can tell you Graham's memorial service will be held in the Wigan area and hopefully be before the end of July, full details will be posted on here once they are in place. Many thanks once again for all the kind words, Graham's funeral on Lanzarote was held on Friday and was a very moving occasion for all present.

The memorial service for Graham Hill will be held at Wigan Parish Church at 12 noon, Friday 3rd August followed by a reception afterwards in The Charter Suite, Wigan Town Hall. All are welcome.

There really aren't any words to describe the sadness I felt when I heard this dreadful news, none at all.
Only seeing Graham at Caz's memorial a few weeks earlier and then hearing the news just stunned me no end.
I shared many a laugh with him, and Caz, and he regularly had me in tears in the years I knew him.
There are things about Gra that'll stay with me for ever I am pleased to say. I was glad to have him as a neighbour and a friend.
Barry if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

On behalf of my family I would just like to thank everyone who attended Graham's memorial service at the Parish Church yesterday It was an amazing attendance which Rev Hutchinson estimated to me at some 150 plus family and friends, we were all touched deeply by this, once again thank you everybody.

I was at the service yesterday and it was lovely to see so many people there. The service itself was very moving and a fitting tribute.

I WAS AT GRAHMS MEMORIAL SERVICE ON FRI, IT WAS A GREAT TURNOUT AND SUCH A FITTING TRIBUTE TO A REALY REMARKABLE PERSON, WHO IM SURE ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL BANDS USED TO LOOK UP TO,.
