George s Statue at last

Well at last Wigan gets a statue to our George .His career lasted 40 years 230 records 21 films and he died at the age of 56 and it has taken the town that he was born in 45 years to appreciate him - yet Alan Randel has been making a career and had full houses out of GEORGE so it proves he was a popular person - anyway nice to here that Wigan will remember him

I hope the family arewell and you have a good time.Anyway the weather here is fine - tomorrow they say its going to be 26 but windy, Wigan have signed two more Players -latics made a draw with Everton so have a good time see you when you get back and all the best to your family

Just heard this morning here on our local radio station in the Isle of Man that the statue is going to be un-vailed on 26th May. We have a fantastic George statue on the Island makes me smile when I look at it and all my fond memories of my childhood and teen years in Wigan come flooding back. Looking forward to a visit to Wigan in October.
