Hi I am tracing my Keenan family tree and was wondering if anyone out there new anybody with name of Keenan or is also tracing there tree. My family tend to come from Scholes. Thanks

hi i no a man called Martin Kennan, he is about 32/33. he lives in manchester and he is irish. would this be anyone your looking for ?

Hi Daniel, if you go to Photos/Album/Schools/St Nathaniels Platt Bridge--The lad 2nd from right on the back row (boys) was Chris Keenan----may be of interest and a relative. I last saw him when he played for Moss Lane .Youth club in 1953

I worked with a guy called Frank Keenan he had a brother called Jim. They will be in their early seventies I think and live in Abram.

Thank you Copperhead I think the Frank and Jim Keenan you are referring about are my Grandads cousins. Frank passed away 2000 if it is the same people

Hi Daniel, Sorry to hear about Frank he was a smashing bloke. I worked with him for about 30yrs on the Railway. He was ex Royal Navy and could he tell some tales. I had not heard of his passing very sad. Thanks for letting me know.

Frank & Jimmy Keenan were brought up on Frog lane . We knew the street as The Crack, which was behind Shannon's shop at the top of Prescot street. They were two grand lads,and as stated I think one of them went into the Royal Navy, and the other worked on the railways.

thanks for info pajero. I am surprised that they loved in Frog Lane I thought they all stayed around Scholes. The two people your talking about would be my Grandads two cousins. My Grandad also called Frank was brought up in Teck Street Scholes

Frank Keenan was in the Navy for about six years in the 1950's during the Korean war. He worked on the railway after his demob. Their Jim worked for J.Stranges slaughter house. Frank was a workmate of mine for about 30yrs.
