Dawber's in Wigan

Looking for any relatives of my dad Joseph Dawber.He was the son of James Dawber who wed Mary Ellen Kelly in 1876 they lived in Spring Garden's .My dad's first wife was Elizabeth Allen who he wed in 1921.They had a son Joseph.Other relatives include Alan and Albert Wilkinson and Jimmy Winstanley.

Hi , There ws a Mr and Mrs Dawber they lived around 1947 in Pendleburys Yard , behind the shop Mrs Dawber used to Ice Wedding and Birthday cakes and I think Mr Dawber was a carpenter or joiner working on furniture for Pendlebury's . sorry that all I remember

Hello Elizabeth,hope you get this mail as it is the first time i have used this.My dad was Joseph Dawber and he lived in Standish as well as Wigan.He was born in 1896 and had several brothers and sisters.There are some relatives still there but i do not know where.We also have Albert and Alan Wilkinson aged about mid 60s.Any ideas please. mAny thanks Eddie Dawber

There used to be two Dawber family in shevy, There was a Eddie and a Bob.

Used to be a Joe Dawber went in West Ward Labour club. Guess he would be in his 80s now.

Sadly Eddie, the club is no more but my brother in law might know more because he used to live near him I think. Dunno if Joe is still living, but I knew him he was a really nice fella. Really nice.

Hubby says he not sure but he thinks Joe has passed away, but still has children in the pem area. He is going to ask his brother to see what he can find out.
