Ralph FORSTER (Foster) burial

Started by: macwil48 (349)

COMPLETED.
I believe he died in Hindley in Q2 1866 but he does not appear to be buried there. Last known in Hindley in 1861 with wife Catherine (who is buried there 1869)
He may have been buried at St. Oswald, Winwick where his 1st wife Margaret is buried, unfortunately lan-opc transcripts only go to 1865.
If anyone is going to Wiganlife or Leigh Local Studies and has a few minutes to spare I'd be grateful if they could check the Winwick register for 1866.

MTIA,
Malcolm.

You are a star. With the burial details I now have the full set for him and his wives. Thank you.

I didn't know FMP had so much Lancashire stuff. I always used them for Shropshire & Ancestry for Lancashire. I'll have to have a rummage around, it could save me a tip to the library.
EDIT: A trip to the library still looks to be needed FMP only have transcript of burial.

Regards,
Malcolm.

Hopefully your search at the libraray will be a little easier with the information.

Success, found burials for him and his namesake son, also found baptism records for most of his children and successfully e-mailed and downloaded them to home computer.

Search wasn't as easy as I remember my subscription access was but maybe I've lost my touch, I haven't had an Ancestry sub for a few years, or the library edition works differently. Still I have to go back, I have several newly discovered families to document. (A different line)
