I went to Wigan Grammar School in the 1950's with Tony Worswick. His photo is on WGS along with the bunch of us.

I believe he married Vivien King from Helvellyn Rd, Norley. Also I heard that he has sadly passed away, some years ago.

Someone must have more info, just remains for them to see your post, Admin. Might be worthwhile posting on the WGS post.

Cheers.

Fred, my Father-in-law John Davies was Tony's best friend. Tony had Chaplin's with 2 other men then had Blimpers? in Chester, then one in Redgate, The big pub on the way to Upholland and then he went to Spain to open a bar with his partner. Loved Tony, such a lovely man.

There was someone of that name in Downall Green Road, Bryn, in the 1950's. They were about four or five houses up from where St Peters School was then located, which differs slightly from its current location.

Edit: Of course, that was the terraced housing which at that time stood there, not the modern housing which has replaced them.
