Still looking for my old mate, who I grew up with in Norley Hall...Helvellyn Rd in the 1950's.

Fred...did you know Eddie Humphreys...his son is Ted Humphreys,my brother in law...I’ll ask when I see him Monday

Geoff Broadbent I saw him years ago he was working at Heinz. Ted Humphries can from down Helveylln Road, I mate with him at one time when we were boys.

Fred there's a Geoff Broadbent on Facebook who has a son named Phil.He looks to be around 70,hope that helps

Thanks, NJ. I seem to remember that Geoff had a brother called Phil??? Not sure now. But Geoff always insisted that his surname was Broadbelt.

Phil Broadbelt worked at Heinz on nights in the spice prep area. He was a lovely and friendly chap and a great worker. If memory serves me correctly he did have some health issues.

There’s a Philip J Broadbelt, aged 72, living in the Gidlow area.

Thanks to both.

I seem to remember that Jeff had a younger brother called Philip, but Jeff was my age, 72. My how the memories fade or play tricks. He had an older sister, Sheila, that, I do remember.

I lived on The Green and remember Jeff Broadbent but I've lived in Doncaster for 30 odd years. Remember your name too, did you live at the top of Helvellyn Rd? I don't remember him being called Broadbelt.

Yes, I lived at the top of Helvellyn Rd and Jeff lived at the very top house, number 76.
