Tom McSorley worked on Silcock's fair

Started by: kitekat (1498)

Received some sad news yesterday (Wed 10th Oct) my Uncle Tom McSorley has died. Uncle Tom use to work on Silcock's fair for many many years.. He would come back to Ince when the fair was laid up having refits and mechanical maintenance during the Winter months. When he was back in Greenfield Avenue he would work at The Empress Mill in the cotton factory.... He died last year in July, but because he was living in Blackpool and no-one told us, we only found out yesterday... He was 1 of 10 children born to our Grandparents Robert and Lily McSorley.. He would have been 89 in the November in the year he died.
