It was in the WEP a few weeks ago, the interior is being completely refurbished, and it will be closed for six months.
I was told by someone who uses it that the pews are to be taken out and replaced by chairs, it is being made into a "Community church" whatever that means.

Having a complete new interior will look fantastic when finished

I hope they do something with those horrible doors they have put on but I'm sure they will.

Those are only temporary doors while the work is being done.
The original doors are behind them.

Have you noticed the St Marks temporary church in Mitchell St near the bowling green

The church in Mitchell St has nothing to do with St Marks, St Marks are using the school as a temporary church while the building work is being done.
The one in Mitchel St is the Valley church.

St Marks youth club meet at Mitchell St church every Wednesday; it has a big sign - all lit up at night

Cordyline, it's not long since Mitchel St church changed to the Valley church, they were posting leaflets asking for people to join, but I noticed the other day there is now a banner saying it is now St Marks Chapel.

St Marks embracing the 'Happy Clappers'...

They'll be turnin' in their graves down Robin.

Sad times.
