Hi there has anyone any memories of the uniquely name public house

i think freddie chadwick had it once & i think it was a matthew brown pub .

I started and ended my stag do in the conk in 1965.Brian Connor was the then landlord.

We used to go back in conk after games on fosters we played a game one Sunday in 80s and when we got to changing rooms there was a note door blue bell players come in conk great days them I we won to alway s taste better

The conq was the home of rose bridge rugby for many years and the craic was superb. Jack and Dot Doran were the host's for many years. The character's in there made the pub. Best memories the Sunday dinner time sessions, if you wasnt in by 12 15 guaranteed no seats woul be available. Stay In till closing 3 30pm then home get changed for 7pm return to meet in conq for the Sunday night minibus ride out. Very rough Monday's but same again following week. Great pub and great memories.
