Hi, Chasing Thomas Addison who died in Whittingham Asylum .Think date is 11th.January 1899.Found him on Wigan World deaths with his wife Jane.

Whittingham psychiatric hospital was in Preston.

If you can find it, (if it is still there) one of those urban explorer groups had entered the closed-down site and posted video of it on You tube. It might have been 48 Days, but I am not sure, as there are a number of such groups'

There is a lot of stuff online about the place, have a Google.

Quite a lot of patient records are available at Preston Records Office . I did an online search on
lancashire.gov.uk archives for an ancestor who also died there , then went to records office and got copies from the actual records.
