just been on photos
i must explain that i rarely use the town centre shops,so my vision of hallgate with a traffic light ,two gates that do not seem to meet and block paved ,this beggars belief that WMBC is cash strapped.
the other intriguing question is why as this work been carried out,it just seems so unnecessary.
another question re the town centre is why is there a ban for ordinary folk turning left from the top of king street.excepting buses, taxis and bikes, surely this is adding to town centre pollution.i had to do a longish ut urn to get back onto wallgate.
sensible answer's only and please no abuse.

I have no excuse, I don't work in Wigan anymore, but saying that I wouldn't go up Hallgate in any case, but if I had looked at the photo properly I would have noticed that Singers Outdoor Store was still there, and that must have been gone for a good 15 yrs ago now, and I can't remember that traffic light being there.
On about access to the new Market Hall, if they get round to putting it in the shutdown Marketgate, then they will have to do something with Market Street and Hallgate

This is not about politics
Replied: 23rd Nov 2019 at 13:35
Quite right, it isn't about politics. It's about name calling and spitting though the school fence at each other, just like every other thread.
But please, enlighten me as to what the thread is actually about?
