Dust know iv'e just read Aitch's food for thought and you know it dun't take much when tha's had a couple, a went reight back to happier days i could see me mates clear as day running, laughing,being silly buggers but harming no one,I could see us all eyeing up the wenches when we geet owder of course.I could see the face and smell the sent and feel the hand of the one i picked, The taste of her lips on mine oh to go back just for an hour or so.I can see us all at home waiting for mam to give us our dinners and teas no fast foods here you had what was put in front of you.And some of us were big lads strong as bulls at 15 or 16 but when mam said in for 10o clock in we was or else, no roaming around till all hours, O yes big lads in short pants some of us but we had respect for the area we lived in respect for other folk.Just one hour of time to say hello to the age that's gone.Like i said iv'e had a couple but still like to remember the old days even full of best bitter,And the girl i picked and held hands with and kissed,she's in the next room snoreing and whistlinig like a stuka over Poland.Funny what ale does to you in it.

The wife said when i came in trying to creep upstairs quietly "whats all that bloody racket" i said it's only me i'm trying to get this gallon of ale upstairs, she said leave it there till the morning,I said i can't iv'e supped it.
