beyond belief!

Me and the hubby was out in wigan sat night..a rare treat to have time off work and time to ourselves!
anyway!.......i was talking to a woman ive not seen for years, and she was same as us (cant get a babysitter u trust)
Then after saying she cant get out much she said something that totally bowled me over!
She said she cant wait until next year when the smoking ban comes in force.
WHY?
Because then she can take her kids to more pubs without feeling guilty about them getting cancer from passive smoking.
She wasnt talking about going for meals or just a day out of the house, this woman was talking about being out all day sat and sunday (because she deserves a break after working all week).
I asked so you'll be getting drunk then even tho the kids are with you?
Yes she said but at least i know they'll not get bad lungs!!

Sounds like a caring mother, with her head screwed on the right way. Errr... is she from Wigan?

Unreal, I occasionally take mine out for a meal, but never take them in late evening cos kids and drunk adults do not mix.We rarely go out , but have friends round the house with their kids. Kids go to bed late after a film or two , then if we want a drink we have one .
Mind you I was 30 when my first was born so I got all that out my system years ago.I'd rather be home with a brew.
