toddler groups

hi does anyone know of any toddler/music groups i can go to with my son in the wigan area he's one thanks

I know that there are some good facilities at 'The Wiend Wigan'. But i dont know whether or not they do Mother and Toddler groups.
Ring your local council, they may help. Even better ask other mums in your area.

Try your local SureStart group. They're becoming established across the Borough and are aimed at the under 5s.

where abouts do u live cos there is a coupe of playgroups near where i live and there is also a surestart near to my mums in hindley

Hi mamacas, there used to be a toddler group held on a Monday morning in the Church Hall in Charles Street just off Wigan Lane(just behind Blockbuster video). I think it starts at 10.00 AM, it's 50p for enrty and the kids get a drink and a biscuit and you get a cup of tea
I don't know if it's still on but if you go into the charity shop on Wigan Lane they should be able to tell you.

Isn't that a toddler group at the top of Throstlenest Avenue. I work down at the other end and I drive past it every evening going home. Am sure that's one. Have a nip round to see, but don't forget if you're in the car, Throstlenest is a one-way street going from Gidlow Lane.

Wigan Library (upstairs) does loads for kids and I'd be amazed if there wasn't a toddler group meeting one day a week. The folks there are very friendly and helpful - give them a try.
