At last Tony Blair is doing something right putting our future in "Nuclear Energy Stations" we cant even think of having to rely on other countries to keep us warm, who fancies buying gas from Russia and other Countries God help us

I think that they are the way forward now otherwise we will be held to ransom indefinately by the Russians and the Germans who control the gas supplies now

I understand where you are coming from with regards the coal but dont you think too many lives already lost in the pit and after plus almost everyone my age has loads of chest probs due to burning coal and polluted fog

Why has nobody mentioned the alternative's like wind,water or solar power.
I say no to Nuclear Energy.
Keep our planet clean,now and for the future.

You have no choice it has to be nuclear.You certainly cant trust the east Europeans or even the Scotsmen.They have started making noises about that oil being theres so it seems you cant trust anybody when it comes to oil.They will make nuclear cleaner and less dangerous in years to come.

I think wind turbines are our future.
Nuclear power will never be safe or clean.
"Don't you think it's stranger that the government want's new Nuclear Power stations at the same time the National Defence ministers want to relaunch the Trident Nuclear missile project?"

Maybe like the Iranians we just want the Uranium.

You dont have plenty of choice.You will never have enough wind turbines to generate all the electricity you need.Besides they are very noisy ask the people who live near them.I can only go off what the scientists say.

Im sure the managment there realize the need for nuclear

Hi John.
I no longer work at Bae.
I used to work at the Lostock plant in Horwich,but that has shut down now.
As for the Managment there,well the place has shut up shop."For good."
Need i say more!

Never! We need defence but Nukes and eternal Uranium pollution we can do without.
