I'm really enjoying Kay Burley in Wigan. She's at the Brick today which I have heard of but never seen before. I saw some negative comments on Facebook yesterday which is a shame. Kay is highlighting the cost of Living crisis which is affecting every town and is tackling politicians

HI Kath , i appreciate what you are saying and she is a Wigan Lass, but what i have to say to you Kath ,and Kay Burley is that she can talk until the cows come home ,this shower that are in at the moment could not give a flying fig , about the crisis and the high cost of living , WHY ?
Simple it does not affect them in the slightest ,they are on around £84k per anum plus expenses for at the very least 5 years a pop also when the time comes that they do not retain their seat they have made ample towards their pensions which being civil servants are very good indeed ,....
SO if you will excuse me KATH nothing against you my dear friend it's just another gimmicky show ,for which by the way she too will be getting a good screw !!!!! STAY SAFE KATH . GB.

I think that Kay Burley is doing a brilliant job, presenting her program from Wigan.
Tomorrow the show is coming from the Wigan Warriors at Robin Park Arena, and the other fella who was giving out the good news in Leigh Market today, will no doubt be doing the same tomorrow at the Muffin Man on Park Road in Springfield

Not surprised that Kay Burley is doing a programme from the HQ of Wigan Warriors at Robin Park Arena as she is a niece of Bernard McGurrin who played loose forward for the club in the late fifties.

Good attempt tts at provocation.
I think your accusation refers to GB news and my reluctance to watch it.I watched it twice and discussed it with a friend who thought it was an ideal news channel for bigots ,racists and extreme right wingers and I agreed with him,so not to my taste.
A view shared by many considering it biased in its reporting of the news and named as KGB news by my friend.

Does it matter that there is a right wing news channel like GB News when it is it is known that many of those with jobs on the political side of the BBC are left wing?

Surely, in a democratic country like ours, it is better to have a broad church of different television news channels which like many of the newspapers are of varying political opinions.

Watching the programme right now. Not what I usually do in a morning but made an exception for this.
At least it is highlighting the problems that both individuals and businesses are facing financially. And it's not all negativity either, we are normally shown the worst side of Wigan but not in this programme. Well done Kate.

I agree Jathbee she has portrayed Wigan as it is, and upset the knockers while she is at it.
Well done Kay Burley.

And I would feel much better if yoo Fossil watched GB News, I would watch Mark Steyn between 8.00pm and 9.00pm, Nigel Farage is on between 7.00 and 8.00pm but you don't like him doo yoo, and Michelle Dewberry is on between 6.00pm and 7.00pm, but I think she would probably get on your nerves.

That young Corcoran woman is dafter than you and anti vaccers like Wootton are not my cuppa tea,and as you say I dislike Farage,he makes me feel sick!!
So no thank you I will not be following your recommendations ,they won’t be on much longer anyway according to the gossips in the newspapers,

According to the 'gossips' and the more accurate viewing figures data, GB News is beating the new TalkTV channel and Sky News

tts one gossips report copied and pasted dated February 2022,admittedly 3 months ago.

"Viewers watching 19 seconds a day on average

It doesn’t take an expert in television ratings to deduce a news channel pulling in 2.2m viewers over the spate of a month and who are tuned in for an average of just 19 seconds per day, isn’t an impressive performance.

The report has even done the research for us on how the channel compares to competitors, informing that BBC News pulls in 15.9m viewers and Sky News attracts 10.9m, who watch for an average three minutes and one minute 39 seconds, respectively.

The right-wing news network certainly got off to a shaky start after its presenter and chairman, Andrew Neil quit after just eight shows, claiming he ‘almost had a breakdown’ and it ‘would have killed him’ if he had carried on."

Golden bear, just to tell you that I watch Sky news, BBC news, Good morning Britain and occasionally CNN and Al Jazeerah, but mainly I watch sport! Everything but darts and tennis and don't watch soaps, unless I am in the company of my mrs when they are unavoidable because she loves them.
I like Kay Burley and Susannah Reed because they ask searching questions to our politicians.
More often than not I am online having a bet on the horses.

GB Burley is not my friend. I'm merely stating that in my opinion she gas done good reporting from Wigan this week. And she has tackling these MPs who have no idea of the reality of this cost of living crisis. ROYLEW I didn't mi d Dan and warmed to him when he was dancing. It's Naga that I find irritating and obviously doesn't like Charlie!

I think that Kay Burley has done a fantastic job this week, and I am not one for praising TV presenters, but it has been so weird, seeing everything which I am so familiar with, like Beech Hill, it has been there on the telly in front of me.

As regards Dan Walker and Sally Noogent, I find that the word 'bland' comes to mind, and as regards Naga, I am sorry, but I do like her, and she is cruel to Charlie, but I don't get the impression that she dislikes him, and Charlie just doesn't rise to any of the crap she gives him, which I find amusing.

How many of the media presenters like the politicians at both national and local level are willing to take a reduction in their salaries and allowances when there is a situation of more ordinary people becoming poorer as a result of the rip off fuel and energy prices they are facing.

Or is it just a cosmetic exercise by them of making it look that they are doing something about the crisis?

From what I am seeing on television and in the newspapers, the usual all talk and no action!
