Replacement wall

Another job being done by subbies for Wigan Council. The stone wall on Upholland road just before what was Billinge Hospital is being replaced by at this moment a concrete wall. Up to press they have removed about 50yds of wall At this rate they may finish it next year. The great wall of china was built quicker than this wall

First mate the wall was just falling down and needed replacing or rebuilding. . Do not know what they are doing with the existing stone from the wall but the new wall up to press looks like the concrete crash barriers on a motorway They may face the concrete with some of the old stone but the job is taking a long time to complete.
