Westleigh Lane and Wstbourne Avenue. Tennyson Avenue is cordoned off. Low flying poloce helicopter, ambulances, Shadwell Grove is taped off. An alleyway behind Hawthorne Grove is cordoned off.

I asked people on here some time ago for suggestions of where to live round Wigan because I am not local and I ha ve no idea of the area. The suggestions were Leigh, Marsh Green (good area, nice schools, go fot it Platty) Ince, Hindley. Honestly, I was lucky to get out with all my car intact.

When I asked that question, the answer received was 'Platt Bridge'!

I decided not to return to Wigan or its environs, which had been my intention.

Imagine the outrage if this had happened in Norley.

The truth is that in all the areas you mentioned, and in fact in every district there is in the Wigan Metro Area, you have good places and bad places

19 yr old arrested for both shootings

Today, I was talking to a lad who works for my mate, he lives on that estate.
He said he was woken up, in the middle of the night, by the sound of a disc cutter. He got up to check what was going on and the police were cutting through a house door facing his with a petrol whizzer! (they have iron gates bolted over their doors).
I can guess they were making that arrest.
“Would you accompany us to the station, sir”?

Gone are the days when all the copper had to say was, "Now, now sir, none of that".
TTS: I know, it's like Liverpool (Toxteth for one), London (Peckham, Brixton, etc.) Bolton... there are still nice places in Wigan (Tonks will tell us where) but they will soon recede as we have to take more illegals.

It was on the TV showing how the police use a disc cutter during a raid, they cut out the middle of the door, they can do four cuts in seconds, the disc cutter slices through the door like a hot knife through butter, when the police use their universal key, it can take quite a few bashes to get through the door
