When are you starting yours? Shop bought are fine but you can't beat the stage by stage process of doing your own. I start ours in Oct

Then prick it all over & pour Brandy in yummy

I like Christmas Pudd, served with custard, instead of white sauce

We "Toy Soldiers" make exceedingly good cakes.

I've made my own for years but...circumstances change so it will be the first year that I won't be making it.

I have made my own Christmas cake for the last 50 years but this year my son has made it. I always laced mine with rum but he has used some sort of whisky the name of which I can’t remember but I did have a snifter and it was very good. The proof of the cake will be at Christmas.
