"Face masks become mandatory in the Commons – for everyone except MPs"

Are they for real?

Tonks: I read that but they are not for real, what you see is just cut outs for the cameras and pre-recorded messages while they live their lives in the Carribean and so on paid for by us. That explains all the extra revenue required via the road charges.
However, to appease certain people and let them feel comfortable, I do wear a mask in public places and spray disinfectant at them, which they can't complaIn about! Happy days.

l it certainly is interesting to see what is happening as we speak - just watching the Chancellors budget and would say about 1/3rd of them are not wearing them. I am curious to know what is happening amongst others in the house of commons where it is mandatory to wear them

The differences between the body language on both sides is interesting to observe

I wear a mask in public places, because I don't want to catch Covid-19 or the Floo, even though I have been vaccinated against both

Golden Bear

Of course not, but at the moment the virus is extremely prevalent, it is everywhere, and in my opinion it may get worse once the Christmas shopping kicks in, and hopefully the vaccination program will mean that folk who catch the virus, will not be as badly affected if they have been vaccinated, they may feel unwell, but they won't die and then have to go into hospital

I though people might be grateful that those wearing masks were protecting other people. ,not just themselves.

TTS you do know that you wearing a mask doesn't protect you it protects others.

It's one rule for them and one rule for us with those MPs.

The only masks will give complete protection from the virus, are masks of the N95 standard, and they have to fit the face, and they come in different shapes and sizes to fit different shapes and sizes of face, doctors and theatre nurses, are measured to find the right N95 standard mask, think of it like a bra size, it is not just the size, it is the shape too.

But the ordinary masks 'help' , particularly if everyone is wearing one, they will catch the 'spit' or as it is called 'spittle' which people cough and sneeze out, and that helps to stop the spread of the virus, they are much better than wearing nowt, and they make yoo feel better too, especially if yoo are downwind of some pillock who is coughing and sneezing

What are you "protecting others" from, roylew?
Have you got covid? or bad breath?

The Halitosis Kid is an American gunslinger from around or near El Paso well-known for his horrible breath. It is so bad that the local dentist (Henry McGee) asks him to tone it down by rinsing his mouth with horse manure. Around him, trees wilt, flowers and birds die, cacti deflate, wallpaper peels, people flee in terror, animals hide, and even his reflection recedes in shock and disgust. Even his own horse faints when he sneezes near it!

Benny Hill was the Halitosis Kid.
