Does anyone know about moving a master phone socket from the hall into the living room. Do i have to have BT do it and how much does it cost, There's not much play in the lead.

I would say that, why bother with a land line at all, with mobile phones becoming cheaper and land lines becoming more expensive , its a no brainer to say to the provider,
" hoi thee, move it free or lose my custom "

It's easy. If you know how!

But, first, can I ask, why do you want it moved? and what's wrong with using an extension lead?

I accidentally connected to a call on the landline and it cost 85p for 2min 22secs if I had used my mobile (pag) it would have cost 9p
