Surprising move by Ford, they are usually very commercially astute. Could be the biggest cock-up they have ever made. I think they have backed the wrong horse here.

Vauxhall are going to make electric vehicles at their Ellesmere Port plant, so it makes sense to me, and there is the nearby and now deep water container port, and car transport ships already take cars for export from the old docks area of Liverpool, and as regards exporting vehicles from those nearby factories, the fact that the UK is now free of present EU rules and regulations, and more importantly, any future EU rules and regulations, those reasons or a combination of reasons, might be making the UK an attractive place to invest in.
