Traffic Works Again

Coming home from nightmare town WIgan today decided to come home thro Caroline st ,along Wallgate ,Saddle ,warrington rd to Marus Bridge .My question is WHY are they narrowing the lanes along Wallgate ?? next is at the saddle the approach to where it splits to go up to Winstanley ( a571 )they have or making the two lanes so narrow it beggars belief , Then we had Monday/Tuesday traffic chaos from island at marus bridge for what ?? replacing street lamps ,,I ASK YOU MON/TUES Morning rush hour ?? Who the bleeding hell is planning all this work does he/she not realise just what they are doing to business's and trade let alone ordinary motorist's the delay's are scandulous just about everywhere into or out of wigan is a bloody nightmare one last item these road work guys ,DO THEY NOT WORK AFTER 12..00 MIDDAY ON FRIDAY'S ???? ALL THE WORKS IV'E PAST ARE DESERTED AFTER NOON WHERE ARE THEY ?????? OR IS IT P.O.E.T.S. DAY ??????GB

A49 Link Rd

It's brilliant, I had the new road to myself the other morning while the lemmings were in traffic jams.

Firstmate ,, A bit sarcastic that comment i do use the A49 and have been since it opened ,but there are quite a number of times it has not been feasible to use that road .. I am sure there are a number like myself who occasionally have to use the other route's of which i listed . All i was aiming to say that why could not this major work be carried out more logistically that's all. Quite a lot of work could be done at night ,thus helping industry move their goods more efficiently during the daytime . GB
