I have posted about the congestion, sorry, clean air charge.
Isn't it strange that China won't sign up and curtail their emissions, despite their floods, but we are having to pay for not abiding by our emission laws. They grow rich on our loss of freedoms.
How strange is that?

the lady has as much right to question WMBC'gambling with our cash as any member of the general public.on what basis did they find any evidence of wrong doing as a libarian.i question the need in wigan for a brand new 150 room hotel
i have been unwell for the last three months so i have not been out and about but i was glad to see the road mess at warrington road goose green had been completed.
two extra cycle lanes , possibly costing over a million pounds endless congestion and very little to show for its extravagance.
no doubt the red legged chickens will come out clucking at another grand improvement to our transport system by our glorious WMBC.
i remember well the entire labour party denouncing norman tebbit when he said get on your bikes, now its literally coming true. sod the pay through the nose motorist.

The thing which concerns me about this lady is that I believe that she may have another 'Agenda'

She stood in the 2019 General Election as an independent candidate for the Leigh Constituency.

Election Results

Candidates

In view of other stuff which has been, and is going on, it seems a bit of a lame excuse to get herself sacked because of the Chinese, I mean she won't give a monkeys about what is happening in Wigan Town Centre with The Galleries, because she comes from Leigh, and she probably hates Wigan, and why stand as an independent in the General Election, she is a Brexiteer, but Leigh had a Brexit Party candidate, and the Conservative who won in Leigh, James Grundy is a Brexiteer.

I don't feel comfortable with this lady, I feel that I am being used by her

She could just be a nobhead woman with delusions of grandeur.

You can’t be sacked for expressing an opinion. An employment tribunal would laugh in your face. There will be far more to this than is being made public. More likely she is abusing her position in some way or not complying with her employment terms and therefore guilty of gross misconduct. However sensationalising and distorting the facts and allowing the public to jump on their bandwagon is something the media do very well.

WOW TTS , I was very amazed tommy about your comment's i obviously do not know the lady as much as you do but, if there is anything in what she says is true then i feel angry at wigan clowncouncil ,where does free speech come into it ,or does that not apply to Wc?? Are they so much in bed with the chinese that they seem to be adopting their culture in the wrong way ..I would like to know if being a civil servant she has signed the official secrets act ! I was a Surveyor's Assisatnt but had to sign one so until i could find out the whole story my heart feels for her .. As i know what she is up against for it happened to me many years ago ....GB

Because of the nationwide adverse publicity this has garnered I am sure this will have been passed to top employment lawyers before the decision to terminate her employment was made. I suspect that it was breach of her employment terms. As sure as night follows day there will be an appeal so they would want a watertight case.

If you read the article she has openly admitted to breaking the councils code of conduct on several occasions and received warnings for it. On that basis her actions are not even disputable so I cant see what purpose an appeal would be unless she backtracked and changed her story.

What she has done goes against her terms of employment and breaks the employment contract. It cannot be described as anything other than gross misconduct. Not quite sure what people think the outcome should be in these circumstances but as far as I am concerned there is only one person out of order here

TTS, She probably gives a monkey's about Wigan town centre because she is from Wigan, not Leigh. But the issue is not what's happening in the town centre, it's about supporting an oppressive over seas government with the town's money.

Poppycock !!!!

She's a Leyther, a Brexiteer, and a dyed in the wool Wigan hating woman, who won't have a pie in her house, and she probably calls Hotpot, Lobby's with a crust on

Well I don't know what the Lady call's a Hot Pot, but she went to the same Wigan school as I did, and lived within a five minute walk of Wigan centre, so she's not a Leyther.

Interesting reading these comments.
Would just like to clear a few things up. I am not from Leigh, I have lived in Scholes all my life, but have worked in Leigh for 34 years. I stood in Leigh in tje 2019 General Election because Wigan had a decent Brexit Party who I had met. Leigh didnt , the candidate had been deselected. After I had already put in my application the Brexit Party put in another candidate. . I raised my concerns about the Galleries Contract internally.and a week later was under investigation. I intend to stand in Ince ward in the next local elections on a ticket of honesty and integrity which I think is sadly lacking in politics.

So ..... Q: Why are thousands of Hong Kong citizens flooding into the UK (and being paid £thousands in 'settlement grants' by the UK government)?

A: To escape Chinese oppression and criminalisation of free speech!

So much for our "right to free speech" eh.?

Well, Maureen, you wanted Brexit .... get used to it! (personally, I'd sooner be part of the EU than China!)
