Question for Golden Bear

Started by: tomplum (12487)

Do you suffer from fat finger typing syndrome, that is where the fingers keep catching the ' caps lock' key and you have't noticed or can't be bothered to go back correcting the text or, Are you typing upper case a lot to shout your comments,
thanks Tom,

Tom

He could have bad eyes, and he types in capital's so that he can see what he's typing, Elizabeth who used to be on, she here typed in capital's, and she explained that she did that in order to be able to see the letters

As to Golden Bear 'shouting' well yoo can tell that he is a nowty owd bugger, but there is nothing wrong with being like that

How nice to have a bit of altercation without post after post of inane counterpoints. I love people who make a point and just leave it at that.

I suffer from ‘Age Related Macular Degeneration’ (AMD) so my eyesight is going downhill.
If I type sentence with 10 words in , then 6 of them will be misspelled.
My usual mistake is to hit the key that is sideways or above or below the one I want, it’s so frustrating.

Ray, there's something they can do about that, but it doesn't work for everybody.
I don't know what it is, so don't ask, but my auntie had the same and was having examinations to find if "the treatment" would work for her.
Unfortunately, she wasn't suitable for it.
I think, not sure, that it's a surgical proceedure and you have to pay for it.

Tonker, I’m having my eyes monitored annually at Boston House in Frog lane Wigan.
There a re two types of AMD, ‘wet’ and ‘dry’.
I have the ‘dry’ type which apparently is inoperable, so I’ll just get worse.
My main concern is not being able to drive, thankfully Mrs RMJ is a good driver with good eyesight

typing is a skill I've never mastered, I've seen skilled typist using both hands, not looking at the keyboard at all, just watching the screen and making that clitter clattr noise from the key board, I use both hands but, only one finger on both hands and frequently hit adjoining keys, I'm happy with that because, when I type on the mobile fone, It drive my mad, not only am I hitting the wrong keys, the built in word predictor changes a lot of my words and very often I abort the message because I've lost my patiance,

I type with one finger on my laptop but on my mobile I use a special Stylus pen instead of my finger & it allows me to type without hitting the wrong letter

Thank you broady you have spotted my other faults in textmanship, Spelling, grmma and penmanship. Mrs Topping, My English teecher in skool once told me that, If I did't pull my socks up soon, I would end up being either a bin man or a plumber, Mrs topping was very perceptive,

RMJ,
By coincidence I am having eye surgery this afternoon. I am having YAG Posterior Capsulotomy. (who thinks these names up) This is performed using a laser and takes about thirty seconds. It is related to the cataract operations I had in 2019. I had the other eye done around three weeks ago.

"Posterior Capsulotomy" ?

That sounds like a Bottom Inspection!

Broady, be sure to wear clean underpants!
