I would have thought that he would be one of the first to have a jab so. that will give him a good chance to pull through, that and he's strength of character should be enough,,

Why is he allowed to have his family with him in hospital when others have not been allowed to even visit theirs for many months on end.

There's a lot of BS going on about the rules.

the hospital has said in exceptional cases familys can visit! is a 99 year old bloke raising £33,000,000 not exceptional?

No. Not when people have not been allowed to see their parents who have died alone. Plus he went on bloody holiday with his family at the height of the pandemic.

"in exceptional cases familys can visit!"

So what they are saying is the virus isn't that bad really if some can visit.

Others have not been allowed that privilege and seen loved ones die alone.

BS!

As much as I admire Cap Tom, why should his family be allowed to visit when others who are not so famous can't?
Double standards, but I think it's always been that in this country.

I have no problem with what he did. I just don't think he should be put on a pedestal so high he is thought of better than anyone else's family member. It's a load of bull.

You have to draw the line somewhere but this doesn't bother me

I'm very surprised at this NHS hospital having "exceptional cases" when we are being told to stay away even when your parent is dying and the doctors and nurses are on the telly crying at being over worked and stress due to seeing people die.

Something is very wrong here.
