Santander stolen cards

Started by: mortarmillbill (928)

Just received an e-mail from Santander telling me what the procedure is if my card is lost or stolen.
e.g. log on to your account.

So if I am out and about when I lose the card I have to wait until I get home to report it on my computer.

Not everyone has a modern phone!!

When my broadband went off I phoned the supplier ( BT) , It took ages to find a number because they don't want you calling them, So when I did find the number a machine said, please go to the website to report faults,
So if I have no broadband, how do I get to the website ??????
The Aliens are running us now, be afraid, be very afraid,,

Is it definitely from Santander? Never put your details in until you can positively confirm it is from them.

Santander always put the last 4 numbers of your card, or the last 3 of your postcode on emails.

I've said before use your Credit card as much as you can it works just the same as a debit card, if more of us use them they will have to change back to some of the tried and tested ways of the past for safety as banking is changing faster than ever, you will still need a Debit cards but NOT as they are used right now, it works just fine for me

TerryW
It is genuine as the last 3 numbers and letters of my postcode were used.

I recently had an e-mail from Amazon saying there was a problem with my bank card number not matching up - almost responded as I was expecting an order from them, decided to leave it a bit, as the next email arrived with the tracker confirming time of arrival of package. So easy to get taken in so glad I ignored the previous contact
