COVID gangs

Started by: roylew (4026)

Taking exercise today walking I saw quite a few of different “gangs” of children hanging out...is this against the current rules...they were all over 11 years old...on average I’d say each gang had a least 6 people ...it’s a worry...

This isn’t about raves etc...just young kids hanging around...just thinking all’s ok...if this is typical of daily routines during this lockdown and off school then we are in big trouble...some will be carriers then going home..then their parents going shopping for granny as is allowed..we have no chance

Many schools in Wigan are remotely doing lessons, one local school says all pupils must be online for 9am until 3:15 pm with an hour break for lunch. They must also be in full uniform.

That's a long time in front of a screen for kids, many complain about them being on computer games for such long periods.

Well none of these were doing on line lessons and it was between 11 and 2.30....no discipline from parents and no self discipline....

"on line lessons", "all pupils must be online for 9am until 3:15 pm with an hour break for lunch" and
"They must also be in full uniform", my ringpiece!

The government cannot be serious?

Them who are exempt, don't want to be exempt.
Meaning that people who are not working, due to lockdown, can be working but they don't want to.
Them who are not exempt think they are,
Meaning staff in supermarkets not wearing a face covering. Staff in t'chippy not wearing face covering "because they are behind a screen".

Nobody gives one. And I'm not surprised, because it's one big cock-up, this country!

It’s a joke how we are supposed to be controlling this deadly virus...a good call from Starmer wanting round the clock vaccination

It's no joke roylew. Where are all the people coming from to work "round the clock"?

Replied: 5th Jan 2021 at 23:30

The same place as people came from to 'work round the clock' at the Pits, Pilkingtons, Heinz, etc..

and will these shift workers be qualified to give injections? And would you want to turn out at 2am to get a jab?

I agree with tinker...a lot goes on during the night...I realise you wouldn’t vaccinate at the same rate as daylight hours...but drastic times need drastic measures

Kathpressy said, "and will these shift workers be qualified to give injections? And would you want to turn out at 2am to get a jab?"

I can only speak about the 'Pit', as I never worked at Pilkingtons, or Heinz. And I can tell you that, yes, many shift workers were just as qualified to give injections as those who are giving the covid vaccine.
They had to be, by law. (Mines and Quarries Act).

I can tell you something else too. I'll bet none of those giving covid injections are qualified to work on an electrical breakdown, at 2. am, half a mile underneath the M62 in Warrington!

No, but I knew Ernie Entwistle. And Rachael Entwhistle too (but she didn't work in t'pit!)
The only Scotsman I've ever known was Scots Jimmy (Farley), from Hindley. Well, he was from Gorbals originally, in Glasgow, but he lived in Hindley!
I know of a George Knowles, I think he worked at Bowd, but he'd be in his late seventies / early eighties now. Or older, even. Came from Haydock!

Oh., I forgot, Thelma Entwistle. Rachael's mum!
