The Mist
It had everybody driving at about 20mph today. But who remembers proper, horrible, choking fog.

You're not dreaming it Tom,one night coming home from work,I eventually found the avenue where I lived, but had to keep slowing down driving, jump out and going to everybody's gate to see which was our house...frightening.

There was a tale going round in the 1970s that on a misty night a car was driving through Hindley at about 1mph, and it kept wandering about on the road, so a bobby or a member of the public, stopped the car by banging on the roof and asked the driver what was going on, he was actually delivering hot food to an establishment, they said it was hotpots, and the driver thought that the fog had come down very thick, and he couldn't see where he was going, but in reality his car windows had steamed up instead, now I don't know if that was a true story, or it was an old joke dooing the rounds.
