The New Year's Day meal at my daughter's house has just sailed off down the Swannee. So we can all say a big thanks to those #¥×?}$ing Chinks.

Wigan's rate has risen by approx 20 cases per 100,000 since before Christmas. Liverpool city region is higher than Wigan but have only been moved into tier 3. However that will stop evening and weekend movement from here to there as pubs and restaurants must now close in that region.

I am glad Wigan is going into Tear 4, and then we will be rid of the bloody thing, and no bugger on the telly as mentioned what has caused all this second or third wave, which is Christmas and the Christmas shoppers

I don't want to sound like Tonker, but I have had this reet from the start, and the Covid should disappear rapidly from about the middle of January, and maybe before that if people don't celebrate the start of the new year

I don't think you sound like Tonker, but if everyone sticks to the rules it will be gone sooner.

But Tonker is always reet isn't he, he is like a customer, in that the customer is always right, even if they are wrong

The roads tell us how much 'lockdown' means to people.
DON'T VISIT YOUR GRANNY, but mingle with thousands of strangers in asda.

I can agree with that, because inside Asda there is no spacing of the customers what so ever .....

All supermarkets are too congested.
I wonder will they bring back limits on shoppers?

Tier 4 subsequently makes my work virtually nil. However, I will be relatively ok, but I'm sad for the less fortunate. My thoughts and prayers go out you all.

I 'avent been north of Torquay from August till yesterday. Called into wigan centre today and was deader than ever and this was tier 3. I used to get frustrated this time of year as loads of excited youths spending their xmas money meant queues in shops everywhere. I sadly saw no youngsters about at all and looking back wish i'd been more patient. I called in Debenhams to see that was now closing down, Post office has wood in t' window frames, Mesnes St was all empty windows. Well - tier 4 isn't gonna help.

Hopefully the food stalls will still be open in the market hall. That security guard who walks round the market hall gets on my nerves. Telling folk to put a mask on. I think he's only doing it to prevent Wigan council from getting a fine. Nothing to do with the virus.

It is, scorpion. Council have "officers" that visit places and threaten them.

As regards shopping, if you are able to put comments on here, then why not shop online?

Alan85 a lot of people either cannot get a food slot or have NO access to a computer so cannot order online
