You can see why Mrs James’ request didn’t get a good reception.

(Can you not censor it a bit, Tonker. )

Jo anne, Mrs James has been staying at her daughters for Christmas. They do try to get her into the garden occasionally, for some fresh air, but she doesn't like going out. Apparently!

Jo Anne,it is a horrible word I agree, but I can imagine a little old Irish lady being confronted with the audacity of her room mate that it was the first thing she thought of..mind you my little Grandma came from County Clare but I don't think they'd use that word there.

I had a friend who job was to look after UK citizens doing time in prison in Turkey They would spend all their free time writing to companies telling them how they missed there products like flasks etc and sometimes it would pay off and the companies would send them stuff and they would then sell them to the Turkish prisoners'

A word is exactly that, a 'word'. Words are man-made. A word, in reality, is neither dirty, clean, nice or horrible. A word can offend one person, but not another. This situation is social media created.
Deaf people cannot hear words, regardless of their catagorisation. But they wish they could.
Dumb people cannot say words
, regardless of their catagorisation, but they wish they could.
Illiterates can neither read or write any words at all.
Nowadays, what are regarded as 'bad' words are used regularly on tv and radio, but to use a shortened version of a word which describes a non-white persons nationality.
I'm comfortable with any language, spoken by any person, regardless of sex, nationality, colour, education, dress-sense.

But I don't like women with tattoos. They belong in a circus!

I think it depends on how the word or words are used, that letter if it's genuine has got to be viewed uncensored to appreciate how funny it is, the swearing granny could probably benefit from a beep, because a beep can make it even more funny.

But do you remember 'Swearing Gran' from the Catherine Tate show, she became a national treasure

If I say out they're all on me like the cowards they are but if one of them said the same thing they wouldn't say out.

Vaguely recall someone from the past saying something similar, the person concerned also claimed he did "a lot of important things for charity"

I am a great believer in the old adage "give someone enough rope and he will hang himself" I also believe that if you sit back and say nothing the person concerned will do all the work for you.,

Looks like I am correct in both cases.

I am still getting under your skin?..........it certainly looks like it!

PS Don't expect a quick reply.......Like you said its water off a ducks back and despite your best attempts to provoke its wasted...... I prefer to sit back and laugh
