Panic buying

Started by: i-spy (15252)

Has it started again...? There were a lot of less than full shelves at my local convenience store today.

There is no need to panic buy, it's stupid and greed driven. The shops are only closed for one day maybe two. I'm sure none of us will starve before next Tuesday.

I have been to the Froot & Veg shop at the Halfway House at Pemberton, late this afternoon, and it was rammed jammed full of produce, folk have been queuing outside of it all week, so they are not having problems in getting hold of fresh produce

The fresh food stalls in Sainsbury’s Westhoughton yesterday were an absolute disgrace, rows and rows of empty boxes.
Thankfully we had done our ‘big shop’ at Tesco's on Monday and were only short of a swede, which amazingly Sainsies had.
Tesco's was very well stocked., apart from bl**dy Swedes!!!!!

The supermarkets via the newspapers are stoking up the problem about shortages. On one hand there is a plentiful supply of food BUT we may run short after christmas. Does this not create panic buying. If people buy what they need for over christmas then stocks can be replenished

I completed the sprout mission, 20p for a bag of fresh. I really don't like sprouts but my children do.
