Well, people are stupid! And it's people who are supposedly 'educated' who are stupid and they're those who are knackering things up good and proper!

Tomorrow, I'm taking all the tiles out of a bathroom. So, today I decided to call at B&M's in Ashton to get some blue 'rubble bags'.
I went straight to the 'hardware' section. Nothing there. So I asked a woman who was clearly a member of staff, "excuse me, do you stock blue rubble bags"?
She replied, "oooooooh, I don't think so. I've never seen them. Only,if we did, they'd be on D.I.Y. ".
"Thanks"! says me.
I go to D.I.Y. (now these sections are all marked with an overhead sign), and there's nothing there either.
Then, a lad walks up with a blue marbelette notebook and pen, looking important, and asked me what I'm looking for.
"Blue rubble bags, I've looked on 'hardware' and 'D.I.Y.' and you've got none."
"Oh., yes, we sell those, follow me" says he, and off we go.
Several aisles away, he points to a shelf full of 'blue rubble bags'. Great!

So, you're thinking, what's so special about that?

Well, the blue rubble bags weren't in the 'hardware section'. Neither were they in the 'D.I.Y. section'.

They were in the section signed as :-
"HEALTH AND BEAUTY / TOILETRIES / PAPER PRODUCTS".

So I said to him, "what the f* is rubble bags doing here, stocked with the shampoo, hairbrushes and toilet rolls"?
To which he replied, "hmm., but that's where they say we have to display them on the layout plan and we have to follow that".

What sort of idiots are we putting up with these days?

And then I got a message off my mate, Jules. He said the Catalunya road borders are closed to France and Spain and anybody who flies in has to show a "negative PCR test, taken within 72 hours of entry".
Virtually impossible if you're flying out on Monday,Tuesday of Wednesday, and absolutely impossible if you're driving over!

The PCR test (Polymerase Chain reaction) was invented in 1984 by Kary Mullis who categorically stated that the test does not and should not be used to detect viruses. It detects fragments of DNA and RNA of ANY origin. It is not specific for Covid 19, hence false positives. The process requires 3 heating steps of different temperatures. The polymerase enzyme constructs/builds a longer chain of DNA to identify (by comparison with whatever DNA you have) a match or no match.
Its main use is in forensic medicine, not for hunting viruses.

A number of posts on Facebook have made claims about the man who invented PCR tests, Dr Kary B. Mullis, and what that means about Covid-19 testing. One such post claims:

“[Dr Mullis] said that this PCR test was not made to detect any type of infectious disease. It’s designed to pick up a signature of DNA and RNA of the person being tested.”

There is absolutely no evidence that the inventor of the PCR process said this. PCR is used for a number of scientific processes, and in general, it amplifies bits of genetic information so that they can be detected within samples. But PCR tests are specific to the DNA they are testing for, whether that’s of a person or a virus, so aren’t “designed” to pick up the genetic material of the person being tested.

Well, yes, first mate. If you amplify the DNA less than 35 times everyone tests negative. If you amplify more than 60 times, everyone tests positive. That's where the flawed thinking comes in. Dr Fauci said the tests are useless.
There is a radio interview with Dr Roger Hodkinson which keeps getting pulled down off the internet. He is an expert, says Covid 19 is no worse than a bad flu, the virus is airborne and politicians should stop this hoax.

I should imagine the several complaints which were expected came to fruition. Pickfords said they don't handle toxic waste, so Admin. got Pickavances in instead. My joke is now probably 120 feet under t'Wood Pit saaaaite with the rest of the funny, although rather offensive, jokes which come over from Europe to be disposed of at our expense!
