Foregone conclusion if you ask me. People not practicing social distancing.
Plus those who continue to refuse to wear a face mask. Partying and visiting
others. We will never see the back of this virus. IMO.

Some boroughs have seen the number of cases drop by more than 20 per cent week-on-week, with Wigan seeing its rate fall by almost a third.

Wigan saw the biggest fall in Greater Manchester, with its infection rate dropping 37% to 441.5.

Just as gaffer pointed out, and Andy Burnham predicted. Greater Manchester is going back into Tier 3 after lockdown.

Boris is live at five from Downing street, he's amending Tier 3 restrictions, All wiganers have to get up at 5 am and lick road clean with T tongue, then do 16 hours Down Pit ( if they can find one ), No beer , no smoking, no laughing and all taxi drivers have to tip the passengers double the fare on Christmas day,

I dont understand this being in stage 3 the main source is Manchester City Central they said , we are not in bloody greater manchester never have been im a Lancastrian not a bloomin manc !!! I very rarely go out except to buy food but i do have to state that where ever i have been everyone has been observing the mask rule and distancing , though one has to ask the question we are into week 3 and a bit yet the figures the press keep printing are showing deaths rising 5/6/7 hundred how is this when most everyone is observing the rules?????? My next point is then if its has bad as they say why the hell relax the rules so people can have xmas dinner together ,,, load of nonesense or is it propaganda that they are filling us with?????

So if you live in Ashton you can drink and eat in Haydock what is Merseyside or you can go to Golborne what is Cheshire ..... this is a disaster waiting to happen for drink drivers

Golborne definitely comes under Greater Manchester. I live in Golborne and have a WA postcode. I pay my council tax to Wigan Council.

I think the confusion here is because up to the Local Government Reorganisation in 1974 the Lancashire Urban District of Golborne, inclooded Glazebury and Culcheth and all three towns were in Lancashire, the border between Lancashire and Cheshire, being the River Mersey, but after the 1974 thing, Glazebury and Culcheth were put into Cheshire, under Warrington, and Golborne was placed into Greater Manchester, under Wigan, so Golborne or Gowburn if yoo talk ruff, has never been in Cheshire

Where I live we have been regraded to tier 2, so by comaparison we are lucky. Although I have always understood the seriousness of this pestilence, it has been brought home to me on a personal basis recently when a friend of mine from church has contracted it and is now in ICU. It brings home the importance of the message to keep the distance etc.,
