Buzzards

Started by: PeterP (11291)

At one time you would have had to go to Scotland or Mid Wales to see Buzzards. Now we have them flying around the Three Sisters and around the flashes. Two years ago there were two ,last year three and this year we have seen five. lets hope we have more next year

Buzzards Peregrines and Ravens all breeding around Wigan now, all birds you would have needed to travel about Sixty miles to see when I started birdwatching in mid Sixties.

Absolutely beautiful creatures Rio, and magnificent flyers using huge wings to soar on thermals.
They fly quite high up over our house, but within seconds they are out of sight.

Probably asterisk the nasty words out after and claim it was everyone else's fault.
