ILLEGALS

Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (6556)

Can anyone explain when is Britain going to stop all these bloomin boats crossing the channel? its getting absolutely ridiculous , since the start of the year some 8,000 ILLEGALS have gained a foothold in this country, what ever happened to rule of asylum which is the first country after one leaves your own you try to claim asylum in that country. But this blloomin lot are going thro 3/4/6 countries to get to the channel ,so why cant we tell michel barnier to go and get stuffed he keeps trying to throttle us ,so isn't time we told him where to go and what to do ,if it carries on at this rate this island will sink with all this lot.

If they were given nothing, they wouldn't come here.
But, the UK eagerly signed the Marrakesh agreement and they now have to stick to it.

"what ever happened to rule of asylum which is the first country after one leaves your own you try to claim asylum in that country."

That is a common misbelief and simply isn't true.

International law states people have the right to seek asylum in any country they may arrive in. There is no law to say they must seek asylum in the first safe country they may reach.

There is however an EU law known as the Dublin III regulation whereby asylum seekers can be transferred back to the first member state they entered but come 31st of Dec when we leave the EU it wont apply to us....... You can blame the brexiteers for that one

Presumably on January 1st the navy will stop them landing. Turn them around.

GB, amazing they discover they need asylum when they arrive ere.
The agreement with the French is that in the Channel the fish is theirs and the immigrants are ours.

A Census is to take place in March 2021, how reasonably correct can that be with all these vanished illegals? Waste of money.

The fact that the UK is leaving the EU plays no part in the immigrant issue. The UK will still be in the UN and it's the UN that makes the rules on migration which the UK has agreed to abide by.

Whatever we think of 'illegals' once they are in our waters they become our responsibility. Turning their boats around is clearly not an option as most of these boats are dangerously overcrowded and not suitable for th waters they sail in, so to turn them around is a virtual death sentence, and, like it or not they are human beings some of which are in desperate need.
Of course there are some bad eggs among them as there is in every society. However, having said all that I really don't know what the answer is. If the peoples and countries of the world were fair and true beings it would be more beneficial to work on and support those countries at grass roots level, but of course there are too many corrupt governments across the world.

And guess what, Beryl? Many of those corrupt governments across The World have also signed the contract. 160 odd of them. To put it in a nutshell, the UK has signed to accept all the migrants from those countries where the natives are escaping from those corrupt governments.

After a few have been turned round then these " unfit for purpose" vessels will stop where they are. When you knows they are barred from a pub then common sense tells them not to keep trying to get in. I saw a photo of a dinghy last week full of healthy looking, well dressed, musclebound young guys. No women or children.

In by boat... out by plane: Priti Patel plans weekly flights to take Channel migrants back to Italy, Germany and France - with at least 1,000 individuals already placed on removal list

The Home Office is planning to fly at least 1,000 migrants who crossed the English Channel back to Italy, Germany and France in a series of weekly flights.

More than 6,000 refugees have crossed from France in crowded dinghies so far this year.

What hasn't dawned on them yet, is the fact that Italy, Germany and France will not accept them.
They need to take them back, from whence they came, immediately. Same day. No theatre.

What they do now is start asking questions and taking particulars. That makes them officially 'here'.,
"Are you ok"?, "Are you thirsty"?, "Are you hungry"?, "Are you cold"?, "Where have you come from"?, "Where's your family"?, "What is your religion"?,
"Have you any objections to being examined by a White, Christian, doctor"?, "Let us know if you need anything"!

Dont forget even thou they are illegals they MUST be told what benefits they may be entitled too They must have a roof over their heads and fed and clothed and given a phone with credit on it. Not like some people who because they cannot keep up paying the rent could be made homeless

they arnt entitled to any benefit until they have a national insurance number which could take months to process . so all those who think they are on benefit when they arrive here are wrong.

Is staying in a hotel the day they arrive not a benefit. I think they get a daily allowance also. As far as I know no NI number required. A quick search on Google shows they get a £39.60 pw allowance with NO NI number required.

The first migrants are set to arrive today at a disused barracks where they will be housed for up to a year awaiting a decision on their asylum applications.

Napier Barracks in Folkestone, Kent has been turned into an 'assessment and dispersal facility' for around 400 people.

The asylum seekers are expected from today and on a daily basis thereafter, according to Folkestone and Hythe District Council.

Went to Wigan yesterday on an errand for my father in law, he needs some slippers as he may have to go into hospital again. I went into Shoezone to have a look saw some and went to the till, at the till was a group of at least six foreigners 'paying' for shoes, mens womens and childrens also several pairs of trainers trainers. No cash was put in the till, they paid with vouchers.

"it,s tragic that you have to pay with vouchers."

What I felt that was tragic was the elderly couple in the shop had probably worked all their lives and had to pay cash from their pittance of a state pension for their items, then stand by and watch these people get all their stuff buckshee and walk.
