Jake the Basket Maker

We have something to tell you that we are very proud of:- You may remember in late 2019 we started a Crowdfunder page on Facebook to raise funds for a Metal Man to replace the Wicker Man. Wigan Council offered to match fund the project. Thanks to them and our supporters, we raised enough. This allowed us to commission from local blacksmith Jake a Metal Man. He is now complete and very unique. Jake has done a fantastic job and we have decided to call the installation Jake. Jake the blacksmith hopes to install him next week. Will you please share this so that as many people as possible will see Jake.

where is this going to be placed?

Its going at the top of Randall ave, just opposite the Wigan Hospice shop.

That is at the entrance to the council estate, the locals will have that away and melted down for scrap, before yoo can say "They Live In Council Houses"

The old one which was made from Wicker last a long time and wasnt vandalized,
The new metal one is up now and Ive just taken some photos
