I suppose you have a first class degree from St. Thickos.
Many people still refer to the pandemic as Coronavirus and would probably not understand why it’s now labelled as COVID-19.
Less than 50% of Americans have a university degree, just over one third have Bachelor’s degree.

"Less than 50% of Americans have a university degree, just over one third have Bachelor’s degree."

It follows, then, that approximately 17% of all American graduates are single men?

And isnt it called 'SARS CoV-2' really?

The 50% includes the 33% with a higher level of degree.
In the UK just over one third of the working age population have a university degree. Of these less than one fifth have a first class degree.

I didn’t care for Trump when he first took office, but I’ve changed my mind.
He really does try to look after US interests.
He’s imposed tariffs on imported foreign steel and made it compulsory that any Federal buildings or infrastructures must be made using US steel.

Trump is far from being ideal but does anyone really want a President who will be 78 in November? I am aware Trump is no spring chicken.

Broady, Trump was born the same year as me, 1946, and has just turned 74 on June 14th this year.
My thoughts are that he is a billionaire, has a stunningly beautiful wife and he want 4 more years of taking on all the worries and troubles of running the country.
I say yay to hedonism, enjoy life, travel the world, play golf, eat the best foods and drink the finest wines, and let some b*gger else sort out this crappy world.

Fascinating to watch the USA race.

Nothing, zilch, zero, nada about Trump's opponent.

But a shed load of opprobrium about Donald from our media!

It's got to the stage where I just laugh out loud at BBC and Sky coverage.

Will the Donald come through?

Tonker, the American elections will gain momentum in the weeks and months to come, and at a gallop. and with increased coverage.

I love politics - along with millions - and the US system is a contest that we have grown up with.

The British media will be sending their teams over, to weigh in against Trump (more so than in 2016).

Trump is like Rocky on the ropes right now...... Can he come back......?

Raymyjamie - well like you say, he's 74 (same age as you!) and still in the game!

But you're not. You live in Westhoughton, under Bolton council!

I know you'll say, "but I was born in Wigan"! But you weren't really.
Anyway, how come, anybody who is from Wigan, who moves away, remains a Wiganer. But anybody born and raised elsewhere, who then moves to somewhere under Wigan council, becomes a 'Wiganer'?

Nothing is logical about Wigan.

If the race is run on merit, and the Administration finds a way to reduce crooked voting, Trump will win in a landslide.

However. Consider these obstacles.

Harvesting. The Dems go door to door looking for people that have not voted. They give them a voting form and watch them. If it’s for Biden they have everybody in the house fill out a form, age and citizenship be damned. If it is for Trump, they dump it on the way back to the polling station.

Absentee ballot. Originally intended (or so they said) for people away from home, nationwide millions of blank forms are mailed, handed out or placed in pick up bins on street corners. Anybody, illegal alien, visitors from another country, people who have already voted, people in prison and especially dead people, can vote again. California has already mailed out hundreds of thousands. At the Democrat populated polling booth, the Trump votes are discarded.

Pick up services. A look at the voting records shows who has not voted; if they are Democrats a minibus is dispatched to their homes to pick them up. Groups at a time.

Dumping. Where precincts are ruled by the Unions, the Mafia and plain Democrat thugs, whole boxes of Trump votes get thrown in the river. Or lake. (Which is how Kennedy had his Mafia pals win the Presidential election for him).

There are more scams, but you get the idea.

Hard to believe? Consider this. After the last Presidential election, a furious Trump, who knew his vote count should have been even higher than it was, ordered all the suspicious States, all Democrat, to simply turn their voting records over for examination to a body of experts. Every single Democrat governor refused.

LG

You have a moronic tendency to quote falsehoods.
If you check, on any fact finding site, the disinfectant quote was taken out of context.

During a coronavirus press briefing, President Trump floated the idea of using disinfectants and sunlight to treat COVID-19 patients.

Trump has since walked back those remarks, and several websites and social media posts have taken them out of context.

The briefing transcript shows that Trump did not say people should inject themselves with bleach or alcohol to treat the coronavirus. He was asking officials on the White House coronavirus task force whether they could be used in potential cures.

Similarly your quote on Trump’s bankruptcies is wrong. He has never been made bankrupt but 6 of his companies have filed for bankruptcy.

Methanol is a toxic form of alcohol and is known to cause kidney damage, blindness and death. It is often fatal when applied topically or ingested. Sadly, alcoholics have been drinking methanol, perfume and other alcohol based liquids for decades. Their misery is compounded by those who rejoice in the news of their sickness or death, using it in a vain attempt to score a non-existent point.

Mr. Israel
To your first cut and paste:

Prominent figures sell their names to merchandisers. They check it out to see that the company is ethical, and then, in return for the use of their name, receive a monthly check for 12% of the gross. It is likely that then businessman Trump was able to negotiate a higher emolument.

When the companies on your cut and paste list went bad, those payments ceased. It was not a failure on Mr. Trump’s part at all, merely of the purchasers. Mr. Trump made out very well. You can easily and cheaply check this out for yourself. You will need the spread sheets and the court records from the bankruptcy hearings. Westlaw.com can obtain these for you. I am surprised you have not heard of or understood these transactions.

For your second cut and paste…

… you seem to be ignorant of US bankruptcy laws. There is no shame in that, why should you? But it is axiomatic that if you are in total ignorance of something, you are foolhardy to write about it.

Under US Chapter Eleven provisions company investors can file for protection from creditors, giving the investors the opportunity to restructure their debts, install new management, re-size the operation or anyone of a number of other stratagems. They are common, perfectly legal procedures and smart investors such as Mr. Trump are entitled to take advantage of them.

And he has; to the tune of nine billion dollars.

So effective is Chapter 11 that there was talk of England adopting it; perhaps they have by now but called it by another name. You know, like Clement Atlee calling his peanut scheme “groundnuts” so as not to have the appearance of doing anything American. If that is so, I feel confident that you have used the new laws to your advantage, for you constantly deride President Trump's intelligence thereby comparing it unfavorably to your own, and you must now be happily romping toward a nine billion pounds bonanza in your bank account.

Do check out Westlaw.com for the spread sheets and court documents you need to make a cogent case. They cost only $99.00, a little over 84 pounds each, so a few hundred pounds will put you nicely on the road to correcting your errors on this site and, even, perhaps, possibly, enable you to posit posts that are informed, sensible and true.

YET AGAIN WHACKER WONT ANSWER ABOUT WHY TRUMP DODGED THE VIETNAM DRAFT 5 TIMES....

Replied: 3rd Jul 2020 at 07:47

LG
When National Service was in force in the UK enlisting could be deferred if you were were in employment as an indentured apprentice or a student.
Similarly in the US students could get deferred, on an annual basis,if they were in full time college education.
President Trump had his draft defered four times whilst at college and Joe Biden five times. Trump's other deferment wasfor medical reasons.
In those days the wealthy well connected families were often able to dodge the draft as in the case of George Bush with his service in the local air force brigade.
