They have taken a Fawlty Towers episode off, and it is utter sacrilege, the world has gone mad, and will all of this statue toppling improve race relations in this country, or will it make it worse.

They will probably take all of the Fawlty Towers Episodes off now, because the Spaniards will be claiming it's racist, because of how Manuel is portrayed ....

Not much hope for "Till death us do part" then.

I can understand not having 'Till Death Do Us Part' but Fawlty Towers, the 'dont mention the war' episode' they have took it off so as not to offend the Germans

For me it's straw what's broke camels back, because they have got rid of Francis Drake, if it wasn't for him we would all be speaking Spanish now, and the immigrant's only came back over here after the war on the banana boats, the Windrush people, and now they are altering our history, so that means that I am a racist now for saying that ....

Who remembers the Till Death Us Do Part episodes when Spike Milligan played the part of a Pakistani with an Irish accent and Joan Simms nicknamed him Paki Paddy It was funny then but the PC brigade don't think so now.

There is a clip of an old eposode of Grange hill doing the rounds.
It's not pleasant.

I decided not to link it as it is offensive.

Ever since I can remember people have complained about Political Correctness. They hate it when politicians say things simply to garner a vote. They hate it when politicians obfuscate. "If only," they say," these cretins would speak the truth."

Along comes a President who speaks his mind. He says things some people don't like. He changes his mind when new facts emerge on the ground. He doesn't back down . He calls people out and tells them what they are. When enemies hit him, he strikes back twice as hard.

He thinks of problems not as something to be kicked down the road for someone else to take care of, but needs to be solved. He keeps the promises he made during his election campaign. He realizes that he can't please everyone, but goes on and just does the best he can against a hostile deep state (the generals quoted here are evidence of that - the Democrats own the Pentagon). He is the absolute synthesis of anti-PC.

And those who don't know they secretly love PC, fight him with every dirty method they can lay their hands on.

I understand that it's offensive, but this show came out 45 years ago. Attitudes and beliefs change over time...

We shouldn't just erase the past because it doesn't fit in with our present.

Maybe do what The Looney Toons did, and show a brief message before the episodes show?

This is typical - being reactionary is not the answer.. We need to think about the problem critically then decide what to do about it.

As George Orwell's totalitarian state told us in "1984"...

"Who controls the past, controls the future." That is what we are seeing.

To an earlier point I made that the rioters don't give a damn about Mr. Floyd or any other black person. They are simply looking for an excuse to destroy. Last evening rioters destroyed the lovely and moving - and much praised artistically - "Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Regiment Memorial," a sculpture dedicated to the heroism of black soldiers who fought in the Civil War.

Cleese.

Hahahaha. These are his people. He lives in lovely Santa Barbara in the US but despises the way it is and longs for a Socialist government. Changing his tune now it hits his wallet, eh?

It is to laugh.

Whacker

John Cleese is a supporter of the Liberal Democrats, he is in favour of Brexit, and complains of the loss of Britishness in Britain, has our culture has been diluted by the mass immigration of other nationalities into this country, he sounds OK to me, those views are not extreme, he reminds me of me
