noddy2,
Reverse roles for a minute. If you owned the land and could sell it for a chunk of change would you do it or would you stand making sausage for the rest of your life??

Cindy said, "Chadwicks of Standish received a letter today about improving the housing choice for Older People in Standish."

But, why would someone send a letter to Chadwick's of Standish, telling them about something they already, clearly, know all about?

So....Standish's best kept secret is finally out in the open

If someone who has spent years and years building up a business and more importantly owns the land its on then decides to sell up and move on what has it got to do with the public?

Look after #1.....The enormities may differ but at the end of the day isn't it what everyone else does

I don't doubt they will be queuing up to buy those apartments

Good luck and ignore the green eyed monsters

The typing of someone who doesn't have an answer to the question asked.

As well as saying, "Chadwicks of Standish received a letter today about improving the housing choice for Older People in Standish", which is, of course, rubbish, she also said, "Chadwick's is the Only butchers in Standish IF or When he goes There will be no-were to buy Beef/ Cooked Meats/ etc."
and that's rubbish too (as well as being spelt wrong)!

Indeed Baz.
It would seem that despite considering themselves as being very proficient in the art of sarcasm it suddenly becomes an alien concept to some when they are subject to it themselves.

What larks.

There is Now scaffolding around Wellington Place which was the Butchers The building is 200 years old built of Stone, In My opinion it should be preserved.

It's probably a listed building, so maybe they can't knock it down.

I noticed they've knocked the carpet and flooring shop down that was in-between Chaddys restaurant and Fifteens pub.

I heard that the datestone on the brick building is to be ' incorporated ' into the new build. No mention of the building itself. I hope it is preserved and maybe used as the concierge's office in the new layout. Either way, it'll all be level by this time next week.

Well the floor shop has gone I thought it would be demolished brick by brick being so close to the road. Lets hope that Wellington Place is NOT Pulled Down Although I doubt it.
