Having a break?

Started by: xrh59 (inactive)

Is anyone having a break or holiday before spring,I think me and the wife will be heading for the highlands at the end of this month, Or if anybody can suggest somewhere nice and calming preferably up north as i hate giving my cash to the southerners who don't know what real ale is.All suggestions welcome
descent ones anyway,I think our Aussie freinds might be telling me where to go!.

Oh so you're taking the wife??? Well then that's different a cosy little B&B in the Lake district with a big log fire and lots of good food and ale!!!Then a brisk walk next day and start all over again.
How's that sound?

See if you can find out if Paul McCartney has got any rooms to rent out - he might be short of a bob or two after he has paid out to Heather?

XRH - don't know where you get your ideas about us ex-pats, tell you where to go, as if, we are far too polite - and subtle. Maybe not that keno fella.

Sydneylass the lakes sound good the way you describe,But the wife always causes bother when it's time to take photos the trouble is she wants to be on them it was the same at our wedding.I do like the sound of the log fire though i hope she can chop enough.
P.S. Hope she never reads these or she'll have my jacobs for earings!

Ozzielass,I don't think Paul would be a nice landlord at the minute do you,As for keno he means no harm he's just a bit homesick for Wigan and as convinced himself that he likes living in paradise.

Try the Inner Hebrides

Islay is super for a couple of weeks its bird watching time now, and there are 8 distilleries on the island lots of performing locals ( for a dram )
